The Greater Sydney metropolitan area is the most populous urban agglomeration in Australia and Oceania. The metro stretches across a total area of 12,368 square kilometers, and hosts 5.36 million inhabitants. Driven by a thriving economy, Greater Sydney's population has been growing at a steady rate of 1.4%.
CITYDATA curates daily mobility patterns for approximately 1.98 million devices or 37% of the population in the Greater Sydney metro. September tends to be the preferred month for baselining mobility data. To that end, we have computed the mobility trip hops for the Greater Sydney metro for the month of September. The video at the below link shows the mobility patterns for 119382 devices and 512644 trip hops, visualized with a time series animation.
